Grooming your Guinea Pig regularly will stop his fur getting matted and will give you the perfect chance to check all over him for signs of illness.

Look out for any discharges, sore areas, scabs, or signs of injury.

Check his teeth regularly as they can become overgrown and need veterinary attention.

Giving him some wood - willow, beech or hazel to chew on can help prevent this.
