To help your guinea pig become tame and friendly it is important
that you handle it often, and that you do so correctly. Handling
a guinea pig wrongly can scare it and lead to aggression.
Never hold your rabbit by the ears. To pick him up, talk to him
first and let him approach and sniff your hand.
Gently place your hand across his shoulders with the thumb behind
the front legs on one side.
Slowly lift the guinea pig and place your other hand under its
rump and then hold him against your chest with your arm, or put
him on your lap.
